Manchester United and Everton have agreed a deal worth £75million for the transfer of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton. The striker is set to have his medical in Los Angeles where he is currently on holiday and is expected to remain there so as to link up with the Manchester United squad for their pre-season. He is to sign a 5 year contract, earning a weekly wage believed to be in the region of £200,000.
Lukaku is on holiday in LA together with Paul Pogba and it is said that the French midfielder played a big part in influencing him to join the club. They share the same agent, Mino Raiola. On the other hand, Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is expected to join The Toffees. The deals are not dependent on each other.
United were heavily linked with the transfer of Alvaro Morata from Spanish giants Real Madrid but they stopped their pursuit due to the high fee demanded by Madrid. It remains to be seen where the young Spanish striker will be playing next season.
